If you are interested in becoming a part of the Florence Volunteer Fire Department then please feel free to print off an application. Applications can also be picked up at the station.
Here is how the process works:
First- Obtain an application
Second- return the application with a copy of your driving record and criminal history from TX DPS. Applications can be turned in at a weekly training drill.
Third- you must attend the weekly drills held on the 2nd and 3rd Tuesday of the month, and the Business meeting held on the last Monday of the month. All meeting begin at 7 pm.
Fourth- your application will be reviewed by a committee.
Fifth- the committee will make a recommendation to the Fire Chief to either accept or deny the application and you will be notified within one week of the interview if you have been accepted in to the department.
Sixth- after you have been accepted into the department, you will be placed on probation for six months. While on probation you will go through a basic training program
